As I said this morning on BBC Breakfast…
It's about time the Government introduces Martyn's Law to make public spaces safer and more secure.
Since I launched the campaign five years ago, I've worked closely with the UK Home Office, multiple Secretaries of State, and the Prime Minister (Rishi Sunak) confirmed to me personally that he is committed to introduce the legislation in this parliamentary session.
However, we continue to face delays which is why I announced this morning that I will be walking almost 200 miles from the AO Arena in Manchester to 10 Downing Street to urge the Government to get this done.
I want to hear from politicians, security industry experts, and anyone else who would like to come and join me to talk about Martyn's Law during the walk.
I truly believe we have an opportunity to introduce a first of its kind legislation that will protect people and venues from potential terrorist attacks.
