In 48 Hours Time…

After five years of campaigning, commitments from multiple Prime Minister's and Secretaries of State, Figen Murray OBE will launch the latest round of the hashtag #MartynsLaw campaign on Tuesday 7 May, urging the Government to introduce the counter terror legislation that will improve protections in public spaces.

In 48 hours time, Figen Murray OBE will stand on the spot where her son, Martyn Hett, was killed alongside 21 innocent victims in the Manchester Arena terror attack.

Nick Aldworth MPA CSyP, Brendan Cox, and Greater Manchester Mayor, Andy Burnham, will join her at the AO Arena as she takes a moment to remember all those killed, injured, and impacted by the 22 May 2017 terror attack.

Over 16 days we will collectively cover nearly 200 miles - with Figen Murray OBE and Nick Aldworth MPA CSyP walking every step. The generosity and kindness shown via donations and people coming forward to offer support has been overwhelming. A special shoutout to Carlisle Support Services and Lee Darlington who will be driving our support vehicle over the full two weeks.

On 22 May 2024, the seventh anniversary of the terror attack, we're inviting people to join us at 9am at Marble Arch as we walk to Downing Street, where Figen will hand a letter to Rishi Sunak.

Terrorism can affect anyone, so we want people from all professions and backgrounds to come along and join us for that final section. Please do get in touch if you'd like to find out more information.
