ARRIVING AT 10 DOWNING STREET AFTER 200 MILES WALKED

A strange day for hashtag#martynslaw with rumours circulating about a potential general election (now confirmed).

We finished the latest part of the campaign with Figen Murray OBE meeting with the Prime Minister and Sir Keir Starmer.

The PM committed to bring the bill forward and the LOTO committed to supporting its introduction as a priority, if Labour are elected.

We end the day feeling positive that there is cross party support for hashtag#martynslaw but we're still not sure when it will happen, especially with the pending general election.

Regardless, the support for Martyn's Law is clear to see, with hundreds of people turning out to support Figen on the walk from Manchester to London - 200 miles and more than half a million steps recorded.

This is an example of how to campaign meaningfully, sustaining pressure on the government and raising awareness about the legislation.

It's been amazing to meet so many new faces over the past few weeks and incredibly humbling to see how generous people are with their time.

The campaign continues and we are certain that Martyn's Law will happen.
